Drawn from the study of the human figure, its weight, its symmetry, its grace. The form sits somewhere between sculpture and vessel.

Borosilicate glass, hand-finished. Wide at the base, narrowing at the waist, opening at the lip. It needs no pedestal. It is the pedestal.

We started with a feeling, the particular grace of the human figure at rest, and arrived at a vessel. The utility came second. The beauty was always first.
The Feminine as Aesthetic
The female form has been the subject of art for centuries. Formglass returns to that tradition with honesty. This is a study. A sketch in glass.
